BELONG
10 Golden Rules for Meetups
1. Be respectful
Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Discrimination, harassment, bullying or aggressive behaviour have no place here.
2. Keep it genuine
Create Meetups to connect, share an activity or bring people together — not to spam, aggressively sell or recruit.
3. Respect privacy
Never share someone else’s personal information, messages, photos or contact details without their permission.
4. Ask before taking or sharing photos
Not everyone wants to be photographed. Always get consent before posting photos or videos of other members.
5. Meet safely
For first-time Meetups, choose public or appropriate venues and use your own judgement before sharing personal information or going somewhere private.
6. Be clear about your Meetup
Make the activity, location, time, possible costs and anything participants should know clear before they join.
7. Respect your RSVP
If you say YES, make an effort to come. If your plans change, update your response so the organiser knows who to expect.
8. Respect boundaries
A Meetup is an invitation to connect, never an obligation. Respect other members’ personal, physical and social boundaries.
9. Keep it legal and safe
Meetups must comply with Indonesian law and must not promote dangerous, illegal or harmful activities.
10. Look after the community
If something feels inappropriate, unsafe or against these rules, leave the situation if necessary and report it to GET MY HOME.
